Next Session: Masterpiece in Motion
15 August 2015, Saturday, 1pm-215pm
SDT Studios @ Bugis+ Mall, Level 7
Masterpiece in Motion is SDT's annual triple bill of ballet gems consisting of the finest examples of international choreography. This year's offering has two new ballets for our repertoire. Françoise Klaus creates a grand spectacle in a waltz ballet with a large cast, featuring the romance and lush qualities in ballroom inspired work. August Bournonville, the Danish master of choreography, was the inspiration of some of the most well-known and beloved ballets in history. Our divertissements from several of Bournonville's ballets will showcase the special and stylistic manner in which these ballets acheived distinction. Our 25th anniversary ballet,Opus 25, by Edwaard Liang, will complete our programme. Why each one of these ballets was chosen to be part of our repertoire will be detained and segments of each ballet will be danced.
