Daniel graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in 2005. In 2006 he was accepted into the Australian Ballet School, where he received an Advanced Diploma in Dance and a Diploma in Choreographic Studies, becoming the first student in the school's history to finish with two diplomas. Throughout his time at The Australian Ballet School he performed with The Australian Ballet's Dancers Company in Graduation Ball and The Sleeping Beauty Act III . He also performed soloist roles in Balanchine's Serenade and Mark Annear's The Look of Love, as well as the role of Drosselmyer in Leigh Rowles' Nutcracker: The Gift of a Dream . Daniel counts his performance of In the Midst pas de deux from Jiri Kylian's Return to a Strange Land at his graduation in late 2008 as one of his dance highlights. Daniel joined SDT in January 2009 and will be part of the cast of Cinderella in March. |
