Lei Ting was a student at the Xun Yan Ballet School in Liaoning, China, before she furthered her dance training at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore. She participated in SDT’s productions of The Nutcracker in 2008 and Swan Lake in 2009, and joined the company as an apprentice in 2010.
