LEANE LIM
Artist

Leane is born in Singapore, and started her ballet training at the age of 4. She completed the Royal Academy Of Dance up to Advanced 2 with straight Distinctions under the tutelage of Lena Foo. At age 13, she was accepted into The School of The Arts in Singapore, and she was also taught by Cheah Mei Sing, Xia Hai Ying, Natalie Clarke, Alice Lau and Celine Tan.

In 2012 she received a scholarship to further her training at the Central School Of Ballet in London and she was tutored by Linda Moran, Elia Luyando, Leanne King, Carol Gable and Fiona Chadwick.

In her second year, she choreographed a neoclassical piece and won a second place in school’s Choreographic Platform. She also had the opportunity to perform in her own piece which was selected to perform at The City Of London Festival. In her graduate year at Ballet Central, the school’s touring company, she had the opportunity to perform in ‘Four’ by Christopher Hampson and ‘Hopper’ by Kit Holder. Leane also graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Dance and Performance in September 2015.

Leane joined Singapore Dance Theatre as an apprentice in January 2017 and has performed in Singapore Dance Theatre’s Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Peter & Blue’s Birthday Party, The Four Temperaments and Paquita.

Leane was promoted to Artist in January 2019.
