Singapore Dance Theatre's educational and outreach division is an integral component of the company's overall mission to serve the community. Our programmes aim to equip children, youths, and adults with the necessary tools to become productive, well-balanced people.

Dance education is not just Physical education - it cultivates an understanding of and appreciation for the arts, and also fosters creative thinking and interpersonal communication.

Under the National Arts Council’s Arts Education Programme, we offer various courses specially tailored to students and newcomers to dance. All workshops are held at the SDT. Schools may use its Tote Board Arts Grant (a $10,000 fund given by the Singapore Totalisator Board to each school) to subsidise up to 60% (excluding GST) of the fees payable.

For working professionals raring to give dance a go for the very first time, or for those dying to relive those childhood dance classes, the SDT 's adult classes have something for everyone: from Ballet, Jazz Ballet to Modern Dance and Pilates.
