Take off into the world of dainty movements and classical music as our dancers showcase their technical agility and fine articulation of ballet. Introduction to Ballet is a 45-minute lecture cum performance that is suitable for students of all levels, whether at a primary school or polytechnic. Company dancers will demonstrate how ballet steps are executed. Students will be given a chance to exercise what they have learned and perform simple ballet positions on stage. They will also get to watch excerpts from the SDT’s classical repertoire. Introduction to Ballet will allow students to gain insight into a dancer’s daily routine, as well as the differences between classical and contemporary dance.

$2,000 + 7% GST per performance
Inclusive of manpower and transportation of dance mats. Dance mats are required as the stage floor may not be suitable for dancing. SDT provides the dance mats at no extra costs.

For the safety of the dancers, Singapore Dance Theatre reserves the right not to perform if stage is unsuitable for dancing.
