Helmed once again by the company’s Artistic Director, Janek Schergen, with music by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Singapore Dance Theatre proudly presents the greatest classical ballet of all times – Swan Lake, which tells the love story of Princess Odette and Prince Siegfried.

Under the spell of the evil sorcerer Rothbart, Odette is transformed into a swan by day and can only reveal her human form at night. On a hunting trip, Prince Siegfried chance upon Odette at the lake and declares his everlasting love for her. Rothbart finds them and drives the Prince away.

It was Prince Siegfried’s birthday celebration, where he is to choose one of the princesses as his bride. The evil Rothbart transforms his daughter, Odile to appear in the exact form of the beautiful Odette and tricks the Prince into vowing his love to her. Rothbart then reveals his deception and revels in triumph over the Prince.

Will Odette be condemned to eternal swanhood?

Featuring the full company of 36 dancers in lavish costumes and set, this production promises to be the best entertainment not to be missed during this holiday season!
