Featuring Sometimes I think I Remember by Jeffrey Tan and Pellucid by Kuik Swee Boon which were premiered in 2008 at the Esplanade Da:ns Festival, this contemporary double bill was created in celebration of SDT’s 20th Anniversary.

Sometimes I Think I Remember traverses the grey area between reality and the realm of the surreal; toeing the line between hoping to remember and trying to forget. This dance explores loves lost, hopes dashed, and dreams shattered, but plaintively whispers of new beginnings that arise like the phoenix from the embers of fiery hurt and flickering pain.

Pellucid revolves around the theme of “simplicity”. It looks into the miracles and fantasy as well as the essence of life through the basics.
