KOREA’S KIM EUN HEE, choreographer and artistic director of Kim Eun Hee Company, reflects on human will through breath and movement in the Path, the Illusion, with music from Fire Ritual, the huqin concerto by Tan Dun.

CHINA’S GAO YAN JIN ZI, resident artist of Beijing Modern Contemporary Dance, depicts the cycle of life based on the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth in her work INTO, accompanied by composer Chan Hing Yan’s composition Illusion.
SINGAPORE’S JEFFREY TAN, resident choreographer of Singapore Dance Theatre, portrays in F.U.S.E. the intimacy between man and nature through ritual folks songs re-worked by composer Tang Jian Ping in Hou Tu.
Under the baton of music director Yeh Tsung, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra has won admiration for its success in bold collaboration with contemporary artists of different fields. In this unprecedented collaboration between dance and Chinese music, the trademark edge of the superb Singapore Chinese Orchestra is, as always, unmistakable.
