Marina started her ballet training at Mie Haranaka Ballet Studio and Ballet Studio Mine in Japan. She then furthered her dance training at the Royal Ballet School at White Lodge and attended the Colorado Ballet Academy summer school. In 2010, Marina graduated from Elmhurst School for Dance with a National Diploma in Professional Dance. During her training at the Elmhurst School for Dance, Marina performed in various productions including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Swan Lake and Coppélia. In 2003, she won the first prize at the Japan Grand Prix and the following year was 2nd runner-up at the Saitama Dance Competition.
Marina joined SDT in October 2010 as an apprentice and was promoted to Artist in November 2012. She has danced in classical pieces such as Sleeping Beauty, Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake and Coppélia. She has also performed in Paquita staged by Janek Schergen, Divertimento No. 15 and Serenade by George Balanchine, Peter & Blue Forest Adventure and Peter & Blue Go Around the World.
